Day 1 – Mombasa or Diani to Tsavo East

Pick up from hotel at 6.30am drive to Tsavo East, pick time varies according to your hotel location, arrive at Tsavo Buchuma gate, game drives as you head towards the lodge/camp, arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon rest, followed by evening game viewing drive from 16h00 – 18h00. Dinner and overnight at lodge

Day 2 – Tsavo East to Mombasa or Diani beach

Early morning drives at 06.30am, followed by breakfast at 08.00am. Check out of lodge with game drives en-route as you head towards Mombasa or Diani beach. Drop off at your hotel.

TSAVO EAST NATIONAL PARK

Tsavo East National Park is by far the biggest of Kenya’s parks. Tsavo East is nine times bigger than the Maasai Mara National Reserve. Most famous for its huge herds of dust-red elephants, more than 10,000 of them and the characteristically short-maned Tsavo lions.

Tsavo East is 153km from Mombasa, (187km from Diani beach) and about 2.5 – 3hrs drive to the Bachuma gate and this is the 1^st entrance to the park.

Ashnil Aruba lodge lies in the heart of Tsavo East National Park in Kenya. The lodge features 46 rooms and 6 tents. Its location is superb, just a couple of hours from the coast of Mombasa, 5 hours leisurely drive from Nairobi and is located on the banks of Aruba Dam which was built in 1952 as a sport fishing recreational point in the park. Several watering holes nearby attract wildlife and spotting animals is easy because the park lies flat with savannah grassland.
