Pick up from Nairobi at 0630am and depart for Lake Nakuru National Park with a brief stop at Rift Valley Escarpment for a breath-taking view of the great scenery. You arrive at your camp in time for lunch.
This afternoon we depart for a game viewing drive circumventing Lake Nakuru. The lake is situated in the heart of the Rift Valley and is one of Kenya’s most famous soda lakes.
Some of the interesting places to visit include the baboon cliff, the lion hill and the Mau escarpment. Over 300 bird species have been recorded here. This park also provides sanctuary for the endangered Rothschild giraffe, black and white rhino and elusive leopard.
Enjoy dinner and overnight at the Lodge.
After an early, hearty breakfast, depart for the Masai Mara National Reserve, known for its stunning scenery and abundant wildlife. Arrive at camp in time for a warm welcome, lunch, and some time to relax before your next adventure.
In the afternoon, set out on an exciting game drive across the reserve’s rolling plains and grasslands, which stretch as far as the eye can see. The Mara is home to black-maned lions, savannah elephants, Cape buffalo, wildebeest, elusive leopards, cheetahs, spotted and striped hyenas, rhinos, topi, Burchell’s zebras, Maasai giraffes, and many other species. With its remarkable variety of birds and wildlife, the Masai Mara never disappoints.
Return to camp for dinner and overnight.
Day three is dedicated entirely to exploring the Maasai Mara. After breakfast, you will depart for a full-day game-viewing adventure across the reserve.
Your guide will help you search for the Big Five:
The full-day format allows more time to explore different parts of the reserve and increases your chances of encountering a broad variety of wildlife. You may observe large herds of wildebeest and zebras, giraffes moving across the plains, cheetahs scanning the grasslands, or hyenas near a recent hunt.
With particularly good fortune, you may witness a dramatic predator encounter, such as a leopard or cheetah pursuing prey. Wildlife sightings are never guaranteed, but the Maasai Mara’s remarkable concentration of animals makes every drive memorable.
A packed lunch or picnic lunch will typically be enjoyed during the day, allowing you to spend more time in the reserve before returning to camp in the evening.
After breakfast, you will check out of the camp and begin your return journey to Nairobi. Your driver-guide will transfer you to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward flight.
The departure time should be coordinated carefully with your flight schedule, as the journey from the Maasai Mara to Nairobi can take several hours depending on road conditions, traffic, and the exact location of the camp.
End point: Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi
