Tanzania safari and beach holiday

This unique itinerary offers you the chance to experience and explore the Tarangire and Manyara National Parks, as well as the Ngorongoro Crater, plus you can interact with a Masai tribe at a local village. After all this safari excitement, you will need some down-time, so we suggest relaxing on a lovely beach alongside majestic coconut palms and the Indian Ocean.

In the wet season, the Manyara and Tarangire Pans fill with water which attracts huge flocks of flamingos and other wading birds. Your 2 nights at camp or lodge will give you the opportunity to see both Parks, before heading to your lodge.

The Ngorongoro Crater is the largest and most perfectly formed volcanic crater in the world. Within its caldera, some 30,000 animals roam, making it ridiculously rich in wildlife.

Finally, you’ll hit the beaches of Zanzibar, to sink your toes into soft white sand. Your resort is situated on a cliff overlooking the Indian Ocean and offers panoramic views from every angle. You can enjoy breakfast overlooking the ocean or dinner under the stars and sundowners on the jetty or even from the balcony of your room. From walking on the beach, to windsurfing, to strolling amongst the mangroves at low tide, the Zanzibar resorts has something for everyone.

Day 1 – Arrival into Tanzania at Kilimanjaro Airport.

Once you have cleared Customs & Immigration at Kilimanjaro Airport and collected your luggage, you need to make your way to the Arrivals Hall, where you will be met by your driver who will be holding a sign board with your name on it. You will then be transferred to Arusha, where lunch is included.

After lunch, you will be met by your safari driver-guide, who will then drive you down to Maramboi Tented Camp, where the rest of the day is yours to relax and enjoy.

2 nights at Tented Camp or Lodge

Day 2 – Game viewing drives at Tarangire park

After an early breakfast, you will be driven into the Tarangire National Park for a full day of game viewing. Tarangire offers some unrivalled elephant sightings, but you may also see giraffe, waterbuck, impala, warthog, kudu, dik dik, pods of hippo and troops of baboons and vervet monkeys, lion, spotted hyena, cheetah and leopard.

Day 3 – Drive to Ngorongoro Crater

Set off early this morning on your game drive down into the Ngorongoro Crater. Explore every inch of the caldera floor, stopping for a picnic lunch before heading back to the lodge, arriving in time for dinner

Overnight at Lodge or camp

Day 4 – Drive from Ngorongoro to Lake Manyara 

After an early breakfast, you will set off to Lake Manyara, where you will enjoy a game drive during the morning hours and some walking safari or enjoy the village activities in the afternoon, stopping at lunchtime to enjoy a scenic picnic. The Park is renowned for its excellent bird-watching opportunities in general, as more than 400 different bird species have been recorded.

 You will then be driven to the lodge in the late afternoon for much need rest, relax before dinner.

Day 5 After breakfast, you will be transferred back to Arusha.

Fly from Arusha (ARK) departing at 1245 to Zanzibar (ZNZ), arriving at 1425

Collect your luggage and make your way into the Arrivals Hall, where your driver will be waiting for you. You will then be transferred to the coast of the exotic island of Zanzibar.

Overnight at beach resort

Day 6-9 Zanzibar

Spend the next 5 nights at your beach resort. The are several beach excursions and holiday add on that can be added onto your stay in Zanzibar.

Last day Private transfer from beach Resort & Spa to Zanzibar Airport and onwards to your connecting flight back home
